Earlier this month I participated in a fabulous reading at The Regulator Bookshop, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Resource Center for Women & Ministry in the South. Over 50 people attended! It was a delight to read with such a talented group of women.

I don't have any events coming up in December because I'll be focused on grading final papers and hopefully digging in to some new projects, but you can catch me in Michigan next April at the Festival of Faith & Writing, where I'll be leading a workshop on the art of the essay. Some other readings are in the works in the midwest between now and then, so stay tuned, or get in touch if you'd like to set something up.

I'm writing the Mennonite World Review's bible column for the winter quarter, and the first installment is available online HERE.

Finally, since it is "Cyber Monday" after all, I'd be remiss if I didn't remind you that books make great Christmas gifts, and you can buy mine HERE.
